EVERYBODY LOVES GINA: THE VIDEO DEPOT STORY

A documentary about the last video store in Santa Clarita, CA.

MEET GINA AND JOHN LEE

Video Depot was the first movie rental store in Santa Clarita, California. In October of 1986, the original owner, Larry Carletta, sold the business and moved out of the state.

The new owners, John and Gina Lee, were a young married couple who were passionate about movies. The Lees opened three subsequent locations, which were successful for decades.

The only remaining Video Depot is now the Newhall location. It is also one of the last handful of movie rental stores in all of Los Angeles.

MEET THE FILMMAKER

Everybody Loves Gina: The Video Depot Story was produced and directed by Roy Ferré, who lives in Newhall, CA where Video Depot is located. His previous films are Manhattan Noir (2016) and Wolves (2008).
